th grade teacher, Sharon Lowell, will be honored by the Diocese of Palm Beach with the Lumen Christi Learn. Serve, Lead. Succeed Award at the 30
th Anniversary of the Lumen Christi Scholarship Gala on Saturday, December 8
th at the Breakers Palm Beach.
This award recognizes individuals who have made invaluable contributions on behalf of Catholic school education. Catholic education is an investment in the future of our Church and plays a vital role in the development of our future leaders.
“I join our entire faith community in congratulating Mrs. Lowell on this well-deserved honor. She is a dedicated educator who provides a Christ-centered education in accord with the highest academic standards and the integral formation of students in mind, body, and spirit. She is a true example of a servant leader with a lifelong commitment to her Catholic faith,” remarked, Fr. Kevin Nelson, Pastor St. Helen Church.
Mrs. Lowell has over 20 years of teaching experience at St. Helen Catholic School. Currently, she is the Middle School Language Arts teacher and serves as the Language Arts Coordinator. She is certified in Elementary Education, as well as in English for grades fifth through ninth. In addition to her teaching duties, Mrs. Lowell serves as the Student Council Advisor and directs the Spring Variety Show. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Florida State University.

Her contributions to Catholic education are evident on the impact she has on her current students and the lasting impression she has left on her past students who remember her as a vital part of their education,” said Lisa Bell, Principal.
