Pet project: ‘Dog Tales Reading Program’ helping St. Helen first-graders improve literacy skills
The first-grade teachers at St. Helen Catholic School brainstormed a different approach to help ease their students’ nerves – one that formed a special alliance with a local nonprofit, and has warmed many hearts (and noses) along the way.
