Mrs. Abigail Harbin brings 14 years of elementary school teaching experience to St. Helen Catholic School.  She is the active Athletic Director and coaches Girls on the Run and Cheerleading for the Falcons.  Prior to joining SHCS she taught at Title One Schools in Indian River County.  Mrs. Harbin has experience in 1 ^st through 5 ^thgrade.  She has served as grade level chair and worked to foster and implement a school-wide writing curriculum.  Mrs. Harbin earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University and successfully completed the Educator Preparation Institute at Indian River State College. She holds a Florida Teacher Certificate for grades K-6, with an ESOL endorsement. After her first year of teaching, Mrs. Harbin was selected as St. Lucie County’s “First Year Teacher of the Year.”  Married with two children, she resides in Vero Beach and is a proud St. Helen alumnus.
